ARTISTIC RESIDENCIES
El Muro is dedicated to empowering artists to pursue creative and personal expansion. Artist Residencies are intended to create a safe space for artists to heal, create and exchange. Connect with nature and find your muse in the sacred lands and waters that surround our eco- resort. Share space and break bread with local and international artists while diving deep into your craft, nurturing and exploring your artistry.
El Muro Artist Residencies are designed for musicians, visual artists, dancers, aerialists, muralists, sculptors, photographers, designers, writers and other makers.

EXHIBITION
El Muro encourages each Artist in Residence to expose their work at the end of the residency. Past residencies have transformed our space into a performance venue, art gallery, cat walk, and jazz salon. We can co-create spaces and events for you to share the art you create in El Muro. Audio/visual recording packages are also available for performing artists.
OUTREACH
Artists are encouraged but not required to engage with the local community. We have partnerships with local schools for any artist interested in sharing a workshop with the youth. Mexico is a country rich in culture and diversity, and Guerrero and La Costa Grande have beautiful history and traditions that we believe are important to share, preserve, and protect. Art, collaboration, and cultural exchange are powerful equalizers and can be used as a vehicle to promote peace and understanding. Our family is eager to learn and share with you!
FOR FAMILIES
Partners and children are more than welcome. Childcare options are also available for anyone in need. SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
EDUCATION
Residents are expected to help maintain sustainable practices such as recycling and energy conservation. We incorporate sustainable practices including planting a tree per night during your visit.
The Environmental Partner Program helps us reduce our ongoing footprint and restores ecosystems around the world. We also collaborate with the Majahua Turtle Camp and have a turtle sanctuary on site.
